Truck wheels
Trucks and semis share the reputation for being gas guzzlers, a tag
which doesn’t sit well with our increasingly “green”
society. With the price of gas rising and our push to reduce pollution,
vehicle manufacturers are exploring every aspect of gas efficiency,
including truck wheels that create less drag.

• Dayton
• Firestone
• Goodyear
In general, fuel-efficient truck wheels will wear down faster because
they have shallower tread. Drag is measured by the amount of rolling
resistance a tire has. For example, shallow-tread tires have low rolling
resistance and be more gas-efficient, but they are more susceptible
to damage.
