Truck wheels FAQs

Q: What’s an alloy?
A: An alloy is a mixture of metals. Standard wheels are made from steel, but alloy wheels are made from a mixture of aluminum and magnesium. Alloy wheels are lighter than normal tires, but they are also more expensive.

Q: What’s chrome plating?
A: Chrome is a very shiny metal that, when applied to rims, draws major attention. However, chrome requires a lot of attention to keep it well-maintained.

Q: How can I care for my wheels?
A: Most wheels don’t need too much attention (except for racing wheels) but it’s always good to check the air pressure on any tire. An over or under-inflated tire is more susceptible to damage.
